Incredible Original Antique Japanese Hand Colored Gelatin-Silver Print Photographs Accordion Book. The photographs depict various elaborate Kimono and other costume as well as activities of Japanese girls, women and a few men.

Activities include playing an instrument, playing with a toy, rolling scrolls, holding flowers, walking in the rain. I especially like seeing the traditional wooden shoes!

The photographs measure approx 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches and the overall book measures approx 4 3/4 x 7 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches. Note there is significant wear on this old picture book. This book has wood front and back covers that are quite worn.

There is a separation along the seam of one of the accordion pages. The photographs are silvered and discolored along the edges. The hand tinted colors appear to still be rather bright.
