Many pages with multiple items. The material was likely collected by Creed Wilson; he joined the Longview Police Force in 1947 and served there 14 years. Around 1956 he was chief of police.The photographs show him at crime scenes, in portrait and in group settings along with other officers and mentioned in the newspaper clippings relating to crime scenes and accidents he handled. The material includes criminal mug shots, copies of statements made by the criminals, a 1952 subpoena, complaint reports, a 1956 recommendation letter for Wilson signed by Skaggs, various licenses, membership cards and police ID cards for Wilson, and a sheet of police seals. Among the photographs, three group shots show the Longview police force, one dated 1947 and one dated 1953. A trial docket report for Howard N. Farris, who was arrested by Wilson for being drunk in public states, I went inside the tavern and found the defendant sitting at the bar with a glass of beer.
